Animal Crossing: New Horizons exceeds six million in Japan

Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to be a power plant from the Nintendo Switch, the title that has recently exceeded six million units sold just in Japan. So far, only five titles have reached this milestone in Japan, new horizons to new heights. The best-selling title in Japan last week is not released outside the region, with MomoTaro DentaSu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa Mo Teiban at the top of the ranking. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch for the moment.

While MomoTaro Dentsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa Mo Teiban were leading the Japanese games table last week, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity arrived in second position for sales during the week with more than 173000 Units sold. Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to show its game dominance by keeping a third place in the sales table with more than 37,000 units sold. Ring Fit Adventure also continues to steal out of the store shelves, with the exclusive Fitness Nintendo Switch sold at about 36,000.

Surprisingly, the Fortnite: The Last Laugh Bundle reached the fifth sales place last week in Japan, selling more than 31,000 units although the game itself is free. The Last Laughs Pack has several cosmetic items that would normally cost V-bucks to Fortis fans, including Ivy Joker and Poison Skins. Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War closely followed Fortnite, with 25,000 sales last week in Japan, while Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Party and Pokemon Sword & Shield Expansion Pass completed the rest of the top Ten Japanese.
