AMD AM4 socket continue to live for many more years
The AM4 socket is definitely successful, nevertheless, a lot of different AMD processors are available on it, including the current most powerful game solution of the Red R7 5800x3D. Over the five years of its existence, AM4 has seen 5 different architectures, 4 different processors and 125 processors, and AMD partners managed to produce more than 500 different motherboards with it.
As part of their presentation at the Computex 2022 AMD, they confirmed that the AM4 socket will not be abandoned and the company will continue to support it.
