Animal Crossing: New Horizonte has put an excellent start in almost every conceivable way. After being praised almost anywhere before its publication of critics, it has broken several records for a debut in the United Kingdom since its publication, while it looks like this performance levels also reproduced elsewhere.
According to a report of the Geo Corporation (over 4 gamers), Nintendo's charming new life sim titled had the greatest sale at the opening weekend for a Switch game in Japan. This is an impressive statement, considering how full the switch library is with titles that have recorded massive sales, but in connection with the sales figures for other best-selling switch titles will be even more impressive.
In December 2018 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate took over this throne when he sold 1.3 million at the opening weekend before he was deethroned Pokemon sword and Schild only last November was sold in Japan 1.36 million. And apparently Animal Crossing: New Horizonte has beaten these numbers.
The official Japanese sales charts for the last week should be available in a few days so that we have the specific numbers soon enough. At this point, however, it is clear enough that this is exactly what the Big-Hitter Nintendo had hoped.
